Dune is a story about war, politics, economy and above all, science fiction.
Dune, by Frank Herbert is a great sci-fi novel published in 1965.
Paul Atreides is, probably, one of the main characters... The one who holds the brighter responsibilty, the one who holds the future of a whole world... Arrakis, Dune and the Fremen.
I'm really enjoying this book... I'm reading it slowly, tasting all the flavours of its adventures... Sensing all the feelings of its characters... Smelling all the emotions that its lines emanate... Flying in strange future machines...
And discovering brief but Supreme bits of wisdom. I want to reproduce one of them:
When law and duty are one, united by religion, you never become fully conscious, fully aware of yourself. You are always a little less than an individual.
I'm lost for words.
