¿Qui va ser? (Wikipedia)

Aurora Picornell Femenias (Palma, 1 d'octubre de 1912 - Manacor, 5 de gener de 1937) va ser una política, sindicalista, d'ideologia comunista i feminista, activa a Mallorca, València, Eivissa i Menorca durant la Segona República. Fou assassinada a 24 anys per un escamot falangista la Nit de Reis de 1937 i des de llavors esdevingué un símbol de l'antifeixisme i de l'esquerra política mallorquina.

L'any 2017, quan es van complir 80 anys del seu assassinat, va ser nomenada per unanimitat Filla Predilecta de l'Illa de Mallorca. El 4 març de 2019 l'Ajuntament de Palma i el Consell Insular de Mallorca inauguraren un bust d'Aurora Picornell al Born del Molinar per a «recordar la seva figura». Tres anys després, el 2022, s'anuncià finalment que les seves restes havien estat trobades en una fossa comuna del cementiri manacorí de Son Coletes.

- Per ser comunista i feminista

- Per lluitar contra l'alçament (el cop d'estat)

- Per ser una dona culta que regalava cultura als pobres i desamparats (els ensenyava a llegir i a escriure, potser el crim que mai no li varen poder perdonar)

- Per ser una dona forta i atea que es negava a la imposició de la religió catòlica

OCP es IBM? La duda resuelta.

Os cuento una curiosidad chula. 

Hacía mucho tiempo que tenía unas sospechas... Y al fin he encontrado una fuente fiable que las confirma. La superempresa tecnológica que domina el gobierno, la policía y toda la tecnología del futuro que se muestra en Robocop, la OCP está inspirada en IBM! La fuente es justamente uno de los diseñadores de la película original, Robert Webb, que lo explica en su web junto con algunos diseños que no fueron utilizados para la película

Good leaders help other grow, adding instead of subsctracting.

Collaborating instead of competing.

Giving example instead of requesting results, in order to inspire.

Continuously adapting, continuously improving.

Building upon other's work, instead of destroying or ignoring other's work.

Uniting to create, instead of dividing and segment.

Connecting through massive communication, instead of expecting others to understand with no communication at all.

Positive leadership is what makes people love their work.

The lack of positive leadership can push people to hate the work they actually love to do in the right environment.

Negotiation Styles - So important in Business Environments

 

Compromise and Collaboration are the key to successful relationships.

Both personal (marriage) and professional (clients-partners-professionals)

Extra thought: sometimes the compete strategy turns into a Lose Lose, as the person who thinks that is going to win, ends up losing too and caousing the other part to lose, creating a Lose-Lose situation.
